THE DAY OF HARDCORE 2010 is upon us! The yearly event became free after it’s first year and all attendees have been given a free promo CD year after year. It’s become something of a mecca for worldwide J-Core fans, with more attendees from outside of Japan year after year (we know a few of you reading this are probably attending this year as well)! We’ve been trying to find a way to share this special day with everyone each year and we believe this is a pretty good start (with many more plans in mind)!

In the past years we’ve had each volume available for sale after the initial event, but this year we’re more than pleased to announce that starting on August 8th (obviously after the shop is open) for a limited time we will be giving a copy to each customer that orders from us as a special bonus for your patronage. Our new policy will make sure that each customer only receives ONE of this promo, just to make sure we can spread the love to as many of you as possible. Many thanks to the guys at GUHROOVY for working with us on this, and we assure you this is just the beginning of many future promotions and special gifts we’ll be giving you guys as a thanks for your continued support!

J-CORE MASTERZ VOL.7 has finally been announced and the tracklist is looking to be the most promising of the whole summer. And the new release announcements just keep rolling in. Mob Squad Tokyo announces OZIGIRI’s 2nd full length album, due out for THE DAY OF HARDCORE 2010. The tracklist hints at longer tracks than the previous album, which could be a great thing if you’re a fan of heavier style hardcore/breakcore/etc. Keep an eye out for preorders to open on this and other albums in the coming weeks!

After a topic was created on the forums on the subject recently, we decided to officially open up an IRC channel on rizon’s IRC network. In the first few days of existence we’ve been pretty steady, with a minimum of 20 people chatting or idling at any time. We’d love to see that number grow and the conversation become more steady! After some discussion yesterday, it was decided that action needed to be taken in regards to J-Core’s presence on Facebook. A few groups existed prior, but none with a direct focus on promoting the genre and keeping fans informed. Now, mydjsobad in collaboration with GUHROOVY, are happy to bring you an official facebook outlet for the J-Core scene and community.
