The site is moving along very well, alot of stuff being plugged away at. This extended downtime is going to be a huge benefit to not only us, but to all of you guys as well. We’re extremely excited to get this all going again, but we want to make sure everything is done 100% right before we re-launch. As you can tell, we haven’t been updating the blog all that much, mostly because it takes time to write up a post worth reading.

To remedy that, lately we’ve been posting updates to the facebook fan page, and our newly established twitter account. Feel free to follow us for updates at either site until we get everything going again. We’re doing our best to post some kind of status update every few days.

We’re getting ready to re-launch everything very soon. The final product order will be placed within the next week or so and once that all comes in, we’re gonna be back in full force.

We just wanted to make sure you all knew we’re not dead.

So it’s been almost a month since our last update. Alot has been going on for the business since Anime Expo and as a result we’re trying to play catch up and get things together for the relaunch. It’s still going to be a few weeks at the very least before we open back up as we’re going to wait until we have our full stock order (including new comiket/DOHC releases) ready to go online before we cut everything loose. We have a few new labels we’ll be introducing to our growing inventory list along with this update so make sure you keep checking back for news on that.

I will announce the first of these labels to be Hobi Records, who we happened to work out an agreement with at Anime Expo. Upon relaunch of the site we’ll have the following 6 albums from their catalog:

This is on top of more than 30 new releases we’re expecting to include upon our re-opening. We’re treating this as a whole brand new site, and we’re bringing all sorts of goodies for those of you who have supported us since the beginning. No longer will the site be JUST a shop. With all of the events we’ve been throwing, the friends we’ve made, and the community we aim to support we’ve deemed it necessary to grow the site further. We’ll be introducing a full time blog, forums, rewards systems and more as the site continues to grow and evolve so please keep an eye out on all of the great new developments we have coming in the near future!

So we’ve been down for a bit over a week now and would just like to let everyone know that we’re not shutting down, and that there are no internal problems. After evaluating our inventory post Anime Expo we’re doing alot of planning and expansion of the site and brand. As a result in the next few days mydjsobad.com will become just a blog for the sake of keeping you guys all updated with what we have going on for a short period of time as we work our way through some new additions to the site feature wise and wait for our re-stock and inventory update to arrive.

We’re going to be using this time to get some new features implemented that will allow for greater interactivity, better searching and just an overall more pleasant shopping experience. We apologize for any inconvenience, but in the grand scheme of things we’re doing this for the benefit of everyone who has supported us in our 2 years of existance, and hopefully we’ll see future growth in not only our customer base, but also in the general fanbase for the music we all love so much.

It’s been some time since we’ve done a real update to the site. Since before Anime Central in fact. There is alot of reason for this. Relocation to California, management changes, general growing into what’s been happening with our humble little company. We had a surprise appearance at Anime Expo 2009 thanks to our friends at PM Studios and have made connections we never thought would be possible. As a result of our attendance the site was closed without notice last Thursday. We apologize to anyone wishing to place an order for the inconvenience.

We’d also like to let everyone know that some serious changes to the company as a whole are coming, and each one is going to be a positive one. We’ve made a distribution agreement with a major Japanese publisher that we get requests for all of the time, have decided to add some new features to the site, and will be taking our little web store  in a whole new direction soon. Doors are opening for us every day, and if it wasn’t for your support we wouldn’t be able to accomplish these things. It may be another day or 2 until we open orders back up on the site as we work through inventory and get everything updated again. We also have some announcements coming in the extremely near future.

With that said, we’ve been experiencing difficulties with our shipping system over the past week or so and have finally worked the kinks out of it. So after several months of not much going on we finally have received a significant stock update for the site. Over the course of the next few weeks we will be updating the site much more, hopefully adding a few new features, and announcing more of our plans for ACen 2009. If all works out as planned there will be at least 2 more stock updates before the event itself so keep checking back as the site evolves and gears up to celebrate it’s 2nd anniversary this July!

As with every March, the time for our Anime Central 2009 announcements comes. After the tremendous lineup we had last year we knew we had to pull out as many stops as possible this year to top it. People have been asking for months now what our plans were an now we’re going to start letting them trickle out.

HARDCORE SYNERGY returns in 2009 and may just be our most ambitious party to date. This year we’re teaming up with Anime Central and the guys are GUHROOVY to bring the United States a taste of X-TREME HARD, one of Japan’s most prolific series of hardcore parties. And rather than spoil the lineup all at once, we’re going to announce it over the course of the next week.
